Stormfolk is an alternative/folk band with siblings Mick Grocholl and Kaylyn Hastings. The band combines a singer/songwriter feel with folk, bluegrass, rock and pop, crafting a unique sound. Based in Pensacola, Florida the band has featured numerous artists and primarily uses vocals, guitar, mandolin, bass, and percussion.
Mick began writing and recording during his high school years (2009-2013). He started uploading his tracks to streaming services after learning to mix and produce his own music. Kaylyn grew up playing alto saxophone and piano, but focused primarily on her vocals. In 2021 she learned bass guitar, which she plays now in Stormfolk. Listeners started experiencing Stormfolk concerts in Disney Springs, Orlando—Florida’s popular tourist attraction. Since then the band has spent a year in Nashville, Tennessee before making its final move to the Florida panhandle.
Stormfolk is currently bringing its vision and writings together at home in the studio. With a “one song a month” goal + live shows on YouTube, they release nonstop content. You may see Stormfolk at concerts, breweries, restaurants, festivals, and private events in the USA. You can also follow the band’s journey on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook to stay up to date on photos, videos and new content. Stay stormy, everyone.
