Splash of Blues at Sounds of Summer
Splash of Blues came together in March 2008 when three music veterans from three different parts of the country united in Pensacola to crank out some serious blues, rock, R&B and ballads. Hailing from Kansas City, Joe brings soulful lead vocals and thumpin' bass lines, Frank, a New Orleans transplant, adds tasteful blues guitar and harmonica, while Steve, from the Mississippi Gulf Coast, rounds it all out with precisely fluent work on 'the skins'. In addition to killer blues and rock, the band’s likely to be heard playing rockabilly, southern rock, country and even some soul at Sounds of Summer from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, June 21 at the Quietwater Shell on the Boardwalk.
