Civilized Natives groove into Sounds of Summer

Civilized Natives

Pensacola’s own Civilized Natives steal the show at Sounds of Summer on Saturday, July 26 from 7–9 p.m. at the Quietwater Shell on the Boardwalk. Civilized Natives keep the music going with an evening of original music and popular covers from Celine Dion to Eric Clapton and even Weezer. In their original material, the influence of groups such as ELO and The Beatles is unmistakable. Their vocals blend harmoniously with crisp acoustic guitars and heartfelt piano lines while still retaining a rock ‘n’ roll edge. The music is rooted firmly in an understanding of the melodies of the past and blended seamlessly with the grooves of the present to create an overall sound that is both old and new.

Spectators are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets to the pavilion area. No pets are allowed and glass is prohibited. Concerts are provided and organized by the Santa Rosa Island Authority.
