The Modern Eldorados Bring Country and Rock 'n' Roll

The Modern Eldorados

Cobwebs, honky tonks, a broken window, an empty bottle and ethereal vocals. The Modern Eldorados bring country and rock 'n' roll back to what it used to be at Bands on the Beach from 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, June 2 and 30 at the Gulfside Pavilion. Music purists, the band channels the nostalgia of the 1950s, reviving the era of George Jones, Patsy Cline and Elvis.

Formed in 1996 in Mobile, Ala., The Modern Eldorados is led by vocalist and songwriter Tyron "Gretsch" Lyles. Joining in is Monte Tredway on lead guitar, Bruce Nystrom on bass and Chris Reid on drums.

Spectators are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets to the pavilion area. No pets are allowed and glass is prohibited. Concerts are provided and organized by the Santa Rosa Island Authority.
