
Twenty-two year old music sensation Kyle Parker of the Kyle Parker Band may be young, but this seasoned musician has been beatin' the skins for more than nine years. He brings his passion for music to the fans at Bands on the Beach from 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, October 27 at the Gulfside Pavilion.
Parker began his career at age 13 as a drummer for soul legend Bobby Purify and has played and recorded with many great musicians such as Jeff Cook of country super group Alabama, Johnny Neil of the Allman Brothers, and The Blind Boys of Alabama. Music fans can look forward to such great hits as "Born on the Bayou" and "Hard to Handle."
Joining him on stage for the evening will be Tommy Smith on bass, Troy Robinson on lead guitar and Kenny Benton on keyboard.
Spectators are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets to the pavilion area. No pets are allowed and glass is prohibited. Concerts are provided and organized by the Santa Rosa Island Authority.
