Classic Rock Monsters tear into Bands on the Beach

The Dinosaurs

For The Dinosaurs, time isn’t measured in periods such as Prehistoric and Neolithic.  Instead, said lead singer Lee Wilkerson, “It’s only ‘before Elvis’ or the greatest era of all, ‘after Elvis’.” And within that era, 1970’s music has had the greatest influence on the band.

Formed in 2007, The Dinosaurs, a self-proclaimed classic rock monster, have been jamming across the Gulf Coast with covers from Styx, Led Zeppelin and Jefferson Airplane, just to name a few. Band members include Lee Wilkerson on guitar, keyboard and vocals, Lee Day on lead vocals and guitar, Waldo Tallman on bass and vocals and Jerry “The Hawkman” Hawkins on drums.

Spectators are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets to the pavilion area. No pets are allowed and glass is prohibited. Concerts are provided and organized by the Santa Rosa Island Authority.
