Safety is the key to fun at Pensacola Beach Air Show

To make the Pensacola Beach Air Show a memorable and fun experience for everyone, please follow the safety and parking tips.
Parking and driving on the island:
- Please do NOT block emergency access locations, bike paths, sidewalks or medians. Park in a marked spot or off the roadway, but do not extend into traffic lanes.
- Be certain your vehicle is full of fuel. Traffic is expected to be heavy getting on and off of the island. There is one gas station on the island at 22B Via DeLuna.
- Be patient in traffic.
Trolley service:
- For your convenience and to help alleviate traffic congestion, Pensacola Beach will offer trolley service from 9 a.m.–midnight on Friday, July 11 and Saturday, July 12 between Casino Beach and Fort Pickens gate.
Boating:
- The Pensacola Beach Gulf Pier will close from 11:30 a.m.–3 p.m.
- Boats in the Gulf of Mexico are not allowed to enter a safety box of a half-mile South, 1.5 miles west and 1.75 miles east of the Coast Guard cutter. If the referred area is not cleared, the performances will not take place due to security measures.
- The entire area from approximately Deer Point in Gulf Breeze to east of Quietwater should be treated as a “No Wake-Idle Speed Only” area.
- The northern 60 feet of the Quietwater pier will be a “no mooring” area. This allows a place for boaters to load and unload passengers, and provides emergency personnel a spot for waterside patients to be brought ashore.
- Inlet to Little Sabine will be outbound only beginning 2:30 p.m.
- There will be several Boating Under the Influence checkpoints.
General Safety:
- When asked to clear the water, do so quickly. Planes cannot fly until the water is clear. Once out of the water, stay out of the water until instructed that it is clear to re-enter.
- NO KITES! Kite flying during the air shows is strictly prohibited.
- For ALL emergencies, call 9-1-1. If calling from a boat or within a large crowd, provide a landmark or reference point to assist emergency personnel.
- For your safety and the safety of the pilots, please stay off of condo and hotel roofs.
- Be sure to drink plenty of water.
- No glass bottles are allowed.
- Food and merchandise vendors, as well as sponsor booths, will be located under a tent near the Gulfside Pavilion.
- Please, no pets on beach or left in vehicles.
- Bring plenty of sunscreen with a high SPF, and reapply every two hours and after swimming.
- Wear sun-protective clothing such as light-colored, loose-fitting long-sleeve shirts and hats.
- "Feet First, First Time, Everytime!” No diving off of any boats anywhere along the beach or from any piers.
